When my Kobo mini died I bought a PocketBook HD3 as the nearest (but better) replacement to carry in a pocket I could find. Unfortunately it wasn't - I sat down with it in a jeans pocket and the bending was more than the screen could take. So, I have a half-dead screen, but as far as I can tell everything else works.
It's out of warranty. I couldn't find a matching replacement screen on line to have a go at replacing it so I went through the Polish repair company. Cost was only slightly less than the cost of a new replacement, but I'd rather avoid the waste. When I got round to sending it, it was just after Brexit - the first time, the courier just brought it back 'unable to deliver' (it had never left the UK). The second attempt, it came back with the customs paperwork removed and a note 'no customs paperwork attached'.
So I have given up on getting it to Poland (I suspect that there would also be a lot of unexpected customs fees attached even if I could). Back to trying to find a screen replacement.
So: does anyone here know of a replacement screen for a Touch HD3 I can buy online?
And has anyone managed to replace the screen? (I'm hoping it will be easy, but have never only done this on laptops before).
