Basic Touch 624 doesn't power on

Hi guys,
i have just bought the PocketBook Basic Touch 624 and it doesn't start. I have left him recharge over night but when i press the power button, it turns green but the screen doesn't respond.
Any thoughts?

Pocketbook 626: Changing zoom-factor of PDFs in column-view

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to change the zoom-factor used for column-view when reading PDFs with my Touch Lux 3. Right now, the zoom is fixed to 200% when reading a 2-column page and 300% when reading a 3-column page. This means, that I have to crop the margins exactly at the right pixel or else the columns won't fit the view.
It would be much easier if I simply could change the zoom to, for example, 175% for 2-column-view and 250% for 3-column-view. My old Sony PRS-T1 did it like that.

However, the zoom is fixed in the GUI, I can't change it. Is it possible to change it by editing some confg-file, or is there maybe an alternative pdf-viewer available that allows this kind of change?

Cool Reader dictionary

I'm trying to add my dictionaries for Cool Reader on Pocketbook 626.
I've created folder in share/cr3 called dict
and I've copied there all my ColorDict dictionaries that worked well on old NOOK cool reader.
However when I try to use my dictionaries I have error opening dictionary.

I've copied all files to the same folder. It is 6 different dictionaries with multiple files (cdi, dict, idx, ifo). One dictionary doesn't have ifo file.

I couldn't find any additional info on wiki page.

qPBReader v1.0 - epub reader for firmware 4 623/626

Hello,

I have developed an epub reader for pocketbook 623 and 626 with firmware 4.

Complete source code is here:

I will not copy here the complete "README" you can find on github.
To sum up:
  • qPBReader is a personal project, for my own use, and I thought it might interest other people, so here it is. I do not plan to really support it, I consider it as finished, and will probably not add new features.
  • it is developed with Qt 4, and makes use of calibre javascript paged display stuff
  • it supports only epub format
  • it works basically like calibre ebook viewer, and suffers same pre-Qt 5 issues as it.
  • it is integrated with pocketbook (page count, dictionary, etc.)
  • it does not support notes, bookmarks
  • it can be easily translated in other languages (currently supports english and french)
  • manual true page counting, see readme on github to understand what "manual" means :rolleyes:

I deliberately decided not to support touch actions for page changing, because I do not like that.

Hi there ..

I am a new to e-reader , and I want to see how Pocketbook device show this file [before buy it :D]
Because I not 100% sure if Pocketbook support Arabic or not.

Please if anyone could try on his device and it will be better if he test it on new firmware.

Miss my PB360

Sigh,

Really miss my PocketBook 360.

It died a couple of years ago, and ive beem making due with a Nook Simple Touch Glowlight.

Just NOT the same !

Does anyone know of a ereader out there that is simular to the 360?

I know that they stopped making the 360 years ago also. ( personally think that was a terrible decision)

I have had issues with the NST (had to get it swapped out couple of times) and I think I would really really like to try and find something like the 360 again.

PB touch Lux 3 won't update

Hello!

I have a problem. Last night I was trying to update my pocketbook but it hung. I waited for 2 hours and it still hadn't stopped. The screen was all white and hourglass was on. I tried to restart but it didn't do a thing. The screen stayed blank with hourglass. Then I tried to update the pocketbook by using sd card but it still failed. It updates about 2/3 of it and then fails. Also my computer can't recognize the device. It doesn't show up. I tried it on mac and on windows 7.

What should I do? Help, please! :(

Hi,

is there a way of removing ABBYY dictionaries? I've installed my own dictionaries and don't use ABBYY at all - they take lots of space on the dictionaries list when switching between them and I would be happy to remove them altogether.

Desperately need battery for Pocketbook Pro 902

Where can I get a replacement battery for my Pocketbook Pro 902?

Supposedly you order them from Germany for $30 Euros, but after going around and around for a while I was informed that they can't ship lithium batteries -- I don't know whether that's only to the USA or to the world. The unit at this point requires 36 hours of charging for 8 hours of use.

I looked at a number of battery sources with no luck. Is there a solution to this problem? If not, the units must be regarded as disposable.

Hello everyone,

I need to see something on to folder /ebrmain/bin but when I connect my reader to my computer I can't see that folder.

Anyone can help me ?

I've got a Touch Lux 3 under firmware v5.7 and I run under Mac OS X but I've got VM on debian and windows too.

Pb with micro sd card on pocketbook touch lux 3

Hy everyone,

I've got a Touch Lux 3 (firmware v5.7) and I want to use a micro sd card with it.

So I've take a 32go sd card, format it in FAT32 and put into my reader.

It well recognized but when I tried to connect my reader to my computer I've got a message telling me that the micro sd card cannot mount and must be format...

Anyone can help me ?

hello.

just got my new pocketbook 3 lux. I can't find anywhere how to get my highlights/notes of a certain book to my pc (like in a text file) , can't get to system folder either with all show hidden files thingy.

can someone help me? i believe there should be a way to get to them through usb.

p.s. sorry for misspelling tittle ( accessing notes / highlights )

Dictionary keyboard with numbers?

Hi,

is there a way to get a keyboard in the dictionary window with numbers and special characters? I simply don't see any option for this. Maybe some tweaking in setting files would do this? I can't get the dictionary to search for terms containing numbers and special characters. On the other hand the keyboard in the webbrowser has numbers and special characters but unfortunatelly the dictionary keyboard lacks this which is heavily limiting its search use function.

fb-reader for pocketbook sense

The battery of my beloved pocketbook 360 is almost dead and I can't get another one (bizar!) so I have to look for a new e-reader and I thought I could go for a pocketbook Sense.
On the 360 I always use the fb-reader. Is it possible to get the fb-reader for the Sense? And if so, where?
I know the Sense can read the fb2 format, but the fbreader is fantastic as everything in it is customizable. The adobe reader is worthless by comparison.
So
1. does anyone know how to get a new battery for the 360?
2. does anyone know how to get a good version of the fb2 reader on the Sense?

Hi.
I downloaded some epub format book for me to read, but it seems that i can't change the font size because is painfully small.
I have a PocketBook Basic 2, and I saw that other epub format can still be read.
Please help!
