I have a Pocketbook 302 that I dearly love, but after several years of faithful service, it is starting to have some issues. While I have an Android tablet that I also use for reading, I really like reading on an eInk device. So, I've been looking at the Pocketbook Touch Lux 2 as a replacement.

Before jumping through the hoops to order from France, I had couple of questions. Mainly, is the version of FBReader on the Lux as customizable as the version you can install on the 302? Also, how does the screen compare between the two?

I have seen a review of it by goodereader (which was negative) yet I wish someone here who have tried this device themselves to give us a review of it. For example: how long does it take to open a webpage?

If I set a font size in fbreader, it becomes the default font size for ALL the ebooks on the device.
If I set a font size in AdobeViewer, it becomes the default only for one specific ebook.
The AdobeViewer app's default font size is 30, which is way too big for me. Is it possible to change that?

Hi,

after changing my email-provider I was wondering how to change my
email-address in the obrreey-store-account.

However, is there any way to delete the account completely ?
Is there any technical reason to keep the account (device registration) ?

When reading an epub book on my PB622, I press on a word but am unable to extend a marker to highlight (or underline, if possible) two or more consecutive words; the marker jumps from one word to another. What is the trick?

Hallo there,
just purchased a PocketBook Pro 912 and it doesn't list any file. Just displays a white page in the library after actualization.

Any help what is wrong? (Firmware 2.1.2)

Hallo there,
the intensity of the colors (grey, black etc) is so weak, that it is hard to read anything. Is this a hardware error or sth with the software ? (Firmware 2.1.3)

I find it impossible to do highlighting and note taking without a proper stylus, and the one I have has too thick a tip to be really useful.

Can anyone recommend a really good stylus for PB622 , and where to buy it?

Does someone know if ogg vorbis support is possible on a PB 623 (Touch Lux) ?
I'd like to hear my hard-earned .ogg files on it ! And don't tell me to convert them back to .mp3 files:smack:

After many weeks of making my mind up , I finally took the plunge and bought the Touch Lux 2 this afternoon. My first e-reader but already full of questions that I hope more experienced Touch lux 2 owners can answer.

Does the device come with a protective screen film like I've seen others have ?.

Is the device preloaded with books ( in this case 55 ).

If the device is switched off , is the screen blank or with Touch 2 in large letters across the top and with 8 icons under ?.

When setting time and date , I can't get the minute up/down arrows to react.

When I charge from the computer , I'm NOT asked to choose between "connect with PC or charge ".

All this and I've hardly begun.

Anyone can please help.

I'm interested in buying a Pocketbook, but where from? I searched the board and came across greenreader.co.uk. But that link is not working for me, I just get a blank screen.

Pocketbook does not have an official UK website, why is that? :blink:

Hallo,
nach dem Löschen einzelner fremdsprachiger Bücher, wird bei meinem Pocketbook 622 das Hauptmenü (oder nur die Symbole des Hauptmenüs) nicht mehr angezeigt. Das Anzeigen der Bibliothek funktioniert, ebenso WLAN. Wenn ich den Reader an den PC anschließe, werden alle Ordner nicht versteckt angezeigt (PC mit Opensuse 13.4), ich kann auch auf alle Bücher über Calibre zugreifen oder neue auf der SD-Karte oder Hauptspeicher speichern. Update habe ich schon vorher einmal über WLAN und dann über die SD-Karte gemacht (Update 4.4-565). Ich habe schon versucht, Crystal 4.0.x zu installieren, aber nichts hilft. Bei den Widgeteinstellungen ist nur ein leeres Widget möglich. Vielleicht hilft eine Neuinstallation, nur wo kann man die Installation herunterladen? Wer kann mir helfen?

Hi, I can't get it to work and it such a pity it would be great. Is it not working on PB622 or have problems with port opening on my PC? (I know nothing about that).

Hey,

I manage my book collection with calibre and sync everything from there to the Pocketbook Touch Lux. I very much care about sorting based on series. What I just noticed is, that the Touch Lux shows me the volume numbers for most of the books where I tagged that in calibre, but for some it just doesn't.

So for example it shows correctly the first 4 books of the "Saga of the seven suns", but the last 3 just appear by title not by volume number.

In calibre all tags seem fine and look the same. I did not really understand what the devices does internally to show the metadata, but maybe you guys have some ideas...

Hey guys.

I've just synced a jpg file twice via the sync-to-pocketbook (sent to the specific e-mail address) and I still can't see anything. Neither in the send-to-pocketbook folder nor in the downloads folder.

What can I do?

I've been researching larger size ereaders and so far I think I want the Pocketbook Pro 902. But i can't fine it for sale anywhere online. That isn't a good sign but still. Even on the Pocketbook website on the Pocketbook Pro 902 page it doesn't try to sell it. What gives?

Any possibility to change this crappy adobe reader for another Pdf reader on this e-book reader?

I don't find the extensions.cfg file like other pocketbook devices.
